New Year message from Alan Pearson, Hednesford Town Council chairman

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish the people of Hednesford a happy and prosperous 2016.

The last 12 months has seen some exciting developments for us and these are set to continue long into the New Year and beyond.
It’s great to see new housing taking shape in Hednesford and I am sure we will give a warm welcome to new residents coming to the town.
There have been fabulous continued improvements at the war memorial, which looks really impressive and the park. Thanks must go to the Friends of Hednesford Park.
Here’s wishing a warm welcome to new retailers on Market Street and other business setting up in the area including Hednesford Animal Hospital.
A big thank you to everyone who has helped with such a brilliant turn out at events throughout the year  – including the summer carnival and a very successful Christmas event. Anyone who would like to help with organising events in 2016 should let me know
Thanks also to all the volunteers and people who care so passionately about Hednesford from so many different organisations. Good to see them joining together with their activities including the launch of Hednesford in Partnership and a well-attended series of tidying up/litter picking initiatives.
Please remember that your town council is here to serve you – if you have any comments or questions for us – get in touch!
