Getting about

Visitors to Hednesford can enjoy free parking at all of our car parks.

We’ve a variety of free on and off street car parks including the Co-op car park on the corner of Market Street, as well as the car park for the Victoria Shopping Park and Aldi opposite the entrance to Hednesford Park

Hednesford also has a variety of bus links. These provide quick, cheap and useful transport to and from the town. Destinations including Cannock, Rugeley, Lichfield and Walsall are in easy reach. More information can be found on the Arriva buses website here. Also available is a taxi rank opposite the Co-op.

Cycling has become an immense leisure pursuit for our community with a nationally recognised mountain biking area on Cannock Chase. This will soon be recognised internationally as the Commonwealth Games arrive in 2022. To reach across the town and beyond in one direction to Cannock and soon to open Retail Outlet Village and the other through Cannock Chase to Rugeley all accessible for gentle cycling along the Heritage Trail.

Our train station continues to thrive, with half hourly trains to and from Birmingham New Street and Rugeley Trent Valley and we now have a direct service to Birmingham International Airport and London Euston. The station also has a free car park on Anglesey Street. More information and a train timetable can be found here.
