Review from Full Council – 21 October 2025

At Hednesford Town Councils meeting last night the budget for 2026-2027 was approved together with quotes for remedial works at PGCC. A short report was presented from Hednesford in Partnership regarding the grant received from Hednesford Town Council towards the Summer Festival together with updates on the Christmas Light Switch on, Youth consultation, market tender and Remembrance event.
An update was provided on the long overdue installation of the cycle shelter in Anglesey Street carpark as part of the S106 Land West of Pye Green Road monies. CCDC have confirmed that the shelter will be installed on Monday 3rd November.
Updates were also provided following meetings with Cllr Tony Johnson and Chris Forrester (Deputy Chief Executive at SCC) about devolution and steps that can be taken to mitigate the impact on Hednesford Town Council as well as the CCTV contract and upgraded CCTV cameras across Hednesford. Additionally a resolution was passed to express Hednesford Town Councils interest in exploring the possibility of transferring the asset of PGCC to HTC.
