Hednesford Town Council is collaborating with District and County officials, local community groups, and businesses to implement several exciting projects aimed at enhancing the town’s future. Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), these initiatives promise to create lasting legacies for the town while boosting local pride and economic growth.
One of the key projects to be delivered in partnership with Hednesford in Partnership, by drawing down UKSP funds, includes the re-installation of the flagpole in Anglesey Gardens, which once stood as a proud symbol of the community. This historic restoration will serve as a reminder of Hednesford’s heritage and commitment to preserving local landmarks.
In addition, the council has received kind permission from Barratts to plant two oak trees on land west of Pye Green Road, commemorating the coronation of King Charles III and paying tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. This gesture is a beautiful way to mark these significant events while contributing to the town’s green spaces.
The Council is also gearing up for an exciting new event this April, which promises to bring something special to Hednesford. Local businesses will be showcased in this event, further supporting the #MindYourLocalBusiness campaign, which aims to highlight the incredible small businesses that contribute to the town’s unique character. Funds are also being allocated towards the towns VE Day celebration event on Thursday 8th May!!
The ongoing Neighbourhood Improvement Project will continue to enhance the area, improving the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. Through these various projects, the Town Council is working to create a vibrant and thriving community that future generations will cherish.
