This year the Christmas Lights Switch On Event will take place on Friday, 5th December from 4pm to 6:30pm
A Road Closure notice will be in force along Market Street from the junction of Anglesey Street and extending down to the junction with Eskrett Street from 4pm to 6:30pm on the day.
The area in Anglesey Crescent will also be closed to vehicles for setting up of event gazebos from 2.30pm on the same day.
The event is managed in such a way so that we can encourage a steady safe flow of visitors along Market Street from 4pm, culminating in the traditional lighting of the Christmas lights at 6pm
We understand that this may cause some inconvenience for businesses and residents. However, we hope you will recognise that the event provides an opportunity for the Hednesford community to come together and to also attract visitors to the town.
