Each year, Hednesford Town Council is subject to both internal and external audit processes. These audits help ensure that the Council’s finances, governance arrangements, policies and procedures are managed in a transparent, accountable and robust manner.
In accordance with the Accounts and Audit Regulations, local government electors for the Hednesford area have the right to inspect and ask questions about the Council’s accounting records and related documents.
The period for the Exercise of Public Rights will run from 3 June 2026 to 14 July 2026.
The Council’s unaudited 2025/26 Annual Governance & Accountability Return (AGAR) is now available to view on the Council’s website – https://www.hednesford-tc.gov.uk/your-town-council/finance/
Any local government elector for the Hednesford area wishing to inspect the accounting records may do so by written application to:
