Exciting progress for Cotswold Road Park!
Following a meeting at CCDC offices this morning, we are pleased to confirm that plans for the regeneration of Cotswold Road Park play area are progressing.
The project is currently awaiting planning permission, and the installation contract is out to tender until 5 November 2026. Once the tender period has closed, Hednesford Town Council will be part of the assessment process to help select the successful provider.
Subject to the necessary approvals, work is expected to begin on 22 February 2027, with completion planned for 25 March 2027.
We want to make sure the local community has a real opportunity to have its say. Hednesford Town Council has therefore requested a wider community consultation than originally planned.
This will include:
A drop-in session at Pye Green Community Centre
An opportunity to provide feedback online
An interactive session with pupils at Pye Green AcademyThese sessions will give local residents and young people the opportunity to view the proposed design, share their thoughts and help shape the new play area.
